FEMSA, the biggest Coca Cola bottler company worldwide, which is headquartered in Monterrey Mexico since early 20th century and includes distribution of well know beer distribution in Mexico also, decided to renew their tire supply bid in 2012 and invited GT Radial to be part of it.
So far a testing program was draw by their Tech Administration Division in two of their main operations: T1 massive transport hauling and T2 hauling and urban parcel service to all their customers. Testing is developing in 6 of the distribution hubs along the country, for tractors operation under T1 model. This includes testing of steer and drive tires from main 4 tire manufacturers and GT Radial that means a group of 520 tires to be monitored for performance and mileage.
GT Radial is confident that with their state of the art GT669+ and GT879 products, will compete in terms of cost/km range and retreadability and will become as one of selected products to supply FEMSA requirements.
