As a result of the GT Radial Dealer 'Ride & Drive' day at Mallala Motor Sport Park in Adelaide, South Australia on Monday 5 March 2012, Garry Gebhardt from Clare Discount Tyres has ordered his first sets of GT Radial Champiro UHP1.
"Those tyres were awesome. I can't believe how well they gripped, & then when we looked at them after, how well they stood up to the torture. I'll be on those from now on" Garry said.
Garry also noted "I was absolutely amazed at how well the UHP1 gripped during the wet/dry test. Not only did I feel they did a great job in the dry but my opinion of them didn't change one bit once I had driven the UHP1 in the wet…Amazing !!"
Garry Gebhardt is the Store Manager at Clare Discount Tyres which is located 140 km from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. Garry started in the tyre industry as a Tyre Technician for MS McLeod in 1985. He worked his way up to salesman and then to the position of Store Manager. In 2003, Garry started with Burra Discount Tyres as the Store Manager with his wife Jenny and eldest son Justin.
In 2011, Garry added Clare Discount Tyres to the company, and now his youngest son Jason, works with Garry in the operation of the store and his daughter, Kirsty, runs the office at Clare.
Garry has 22 years of experience in the tyre industry and is a GT Radial Premium Dealer at both Clare and Burra and has seen many new tyre patterns come and go. Garry is very impressed with GT Radial's latest tyre the Champiro UHP1, so much so that he has now stocked his stores with the new pattern after the ride & drive day conducted by Safe Drive Training and Tyres4U, the Australian distributor of GT Radial tyres.
